KIP Inc. was founded in July 1973 and quickly developed into a leading manufacturer of solenoid valves and manifolds. KIP expanded its standard solenoid valve line with the introduction of the KIP Jr. Series in 1987. In 1989 KIP Inc. acquired a line of liquid level switches to complement their solenoid valve line. This, and the introduction of their flow switches in 1995, proved to be a significant step in opening the doors to new markets.
