FORMULA for Figuring Heater Size for a Particular Pump Application:
BTU (input) of heater x 80% Efficiency ÷ 60 minutes ÷ 8.3 (constant factor) ÷ Flow Rate of Pump.
Example:
PH16 = 121,500 BTU X .8 = 97,200 ÷ 60 = 1620 ÷ 8.3 = 195.8 ÷ 3.2 (flow) = 61 Deg. F. rise
