(Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventers)
RPZ Backflow Preventers for prevention of back siphonage and back pressure of contaminated water into safe water supplies in accordance with national plumbing codes and water utility authority requirements.
Required by many states for use in fertilizer, chemical and industrial plants to protect safe water supplies from chemical contamination. Designed for high hazard cross connections in plumbing systems or for containment at the service line entrance. Series 009QT: Standard RPZ Backflow Preventer. Sizes from 3/4" through 2". Supply pressures to 175 PSI. Water temperatures to 180 Deg. F. Features: • (2) in-line, independent check valves with an intermediate relief valve • Ball type test cocks • (2) Quarter-turn, full port, resilient seated bronze ball valve shutoffs. • Modular construction • Renewable seats • Available with or without bronze strainer. Series 909QT: This valve incorporates the ("air-in/water-out") principle which substantially improves the relief valve discharge performance. (The emergency conditions of combined backsiphonage and backpressure with both checks fouled can defeat the effectiveness of a standard RPZ backflow preventers). NOTE: Sizes from 3/4" through 2". Supply pressures to 175 PSI. Water temperatures to 140 Deg. F. Features: (2) Quarter-turn, full-port, resilient seated bronze ball valve shutoffs • Ball valve test cocks • Bronze body construction • Modular design, replaceable seats • Tight-seating rubber check valve and relief valve assemblies • Stainless steel relief valve seats, shafts and flange bolts • Available with or without bronze strainer. |
