Notes:

On Sherwood and other gear pumps fill the pump with liquid through a priming tee or discharge piping. GEARS MUST BE WET BEFORE RUNNING. Do not run dry! A properly primed pump has a 10' vertical lift. Running the pump dry will result in premature seal and/or pump failure. If a flooded suction line does not exist, to maintain prime install a foot valve in the suction line.
