No. 2P547 Sump Pumps are designed to pump either clear water or effluent. Can be used in elevator pits, home sumps, loading docks, or in other areas where conventional sump pumps would clog or freeze up due to the accumulation of light debris. Unique vertical-path float switch allows pumps to be mounted in narrow pits (12" minimum width).

Snap-action switch automatically turns pump on and off at preset fluid depths. Maximum fluid temperature 130 Deg. F. On at 7-1/2" - off at 3".
