These Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps are mounted on a rigid steel base to permit long coupling to an electric motor. Long Coupling design allows a wider choice of motors in both horsepower and type of enclosure. A LoveJoy jaw type coupling with rubber spider and coupling guard are standard. "S-flex"¯ spacer type couplings are also available.
Standard Pump units are of cast iron construction. Bronze, Aluminum, and stainless steel pumps are available on special request. All fasteners are stainless steel to reduce corrosion. Impellers are balanced and trimmed to insure non-overloading conditions. The standard mechanical seal is stainless steel, Viton®, carbon and ceramic which is self adjusting and corrosion resistant to handle many different liquids. Pump assemblies are fitted with heavy duty ball bearing pedestals for long life. (Pump, Base and coupling assemblies are available separately to fit existing standard NEMA motors.)

The MP WET SEAL PUMPS are equipped with a double seal arrangement where the seal is contained in an ethylene glycol (antifreeze) reservoir. This enables the pump to run dry for short periods of time without damaging the seal.
