Overhead valve style. Mid-size all purpose engine. All standard Honda features plus a transistorized ignition system, dual oil fillers, bottom intake air-cleaner and exclusive oil alert feature. Fuel tanks are 6.4 Qt. GX240K1QA Standard Model: With Rewind Starter GX240K1QAE Electric Start Model: With 12-Volt starting system. GX240K1HA Gear Reduction Engine: Features a fully enclosed 6 to 1 internal reduction gear. PTO is 3-15/64 x 1". GX270UQA2 Standard Model: With Rewind Starter. GX270QAE2 Standard Model: With 12-Volt starting system. GX270UPA2 Standard Model: Pump Engine, 1" Threaded Shaft. GX340 9.5-HP Series Overhead valve style. Includes all standard Honda features plus dual-element air cleaner, synchro balancer, CDI ignition with electronic advance and oil alert feature. Fuel tanks are 7.4 Qt. Crankshaft: 1" diameter , keyed and tapped 7/16"-20. GX340K1QA Standard Model: With rewind starter. GX340K1QAE Electric Start Model: With 12-Volt starting system. GX390 11-HP SERIES The largest of Honda's single cylinder industrial engines. All standard Honda features plus CDI ignition with electronic advance, oil alert feature and automatic decompression release. Fuel tanks are 7.4 Qt. Crankshaft: 1" diameter tapped 3/8-24 UNF with keyway. GX390K1QA Standard Model: With rewind starter. GX390K1QAE Electric Start Model: With 12-Volt starting system. V-Twin Engines GX630RQZB3 20.3 HP, GX660RTXA2 21 HP, GX690RTXA2 22.3 HP The largest of Honda's industrial engines. All standard Honda features plus Full-flow Oil Filter, 12-Volt starter, fuel pump, CDI ignition with electronic advance, oil alert shut-down and 20 amp charging system. These engines do not include fuel tank or exhaust system, see options below. Options: High mount left outlet, high mount right outlet. Side mount muffler kit available for GX630 Only, Oil filter extension, Remote Oil filter kit and flywheel side PTO. |

HONDA Overhead Valve Engines Overhead valve design delivers exceptional performance while keeping size and weight to a minimum. Built with a full range of features to keep them running for a long time. Honda's superior four-stroke technology includes: • Cast Iron cylinders • Ball bearing supported forged crankshaft • Chrome top piston ring • Mechanical governor • Fixed jet float type carburetor • Replaceable valve guides and automatic decompression for easy starting • "Oil Alert" system which shuts down the engine if oil supply reaches an unsafe level • Transistorized ignition systems on all except 11 & 13 HP models which have CDI systems with Electronic Advance.NOTE: Honda has revised the advertised horse power ratings to comply with the more conservative SAEJ1349 standards.
OIL ALERT SYSTEM
Honda's Oil Alert System offers added protection for your Honda engine. It shuts off the engine automatically before the oil level in the crankcase falls below the safe limit.
