How to Winterize a Pressure Washer | Video

Winterizing your pressure washer is an important procedure to prevent damage during storage in low temperatures. This video demonstrates the steps required to properly store a pressure washer in low temperature. This includes using antifreeze to remove water from the pump, removing all fuel or using a fuel stabilizer, and rust prevention.

Usage of an antifreeze product can be found through this link.

Using an antifreeze to remove water from the pump is important to prevent serious damage from to the pump. Water left in the pump can freeze, which can split the castings on the pump. Additionally, antifreeze will keep O-rings and seals from drying out.

Removing or replacing fuel in the gas tank and carburetor will prevent engine corrosion. Adding oil to the cylinder via spark plug hole will help prevent the cylinder from rusting.
