Soil Compaction Tester (Penetrometer), 3" to 18" Depths

Soil compaction prevents moisture penetration, reduces fertilizer and chemical utilization, and hinders plant root growth. Soil compaction testers enable you to identify compacted areas in pounds per square inch so that you can use deep tillage equipment and other soil aeration practices recommended for your area. The soil penetrometer is built with an easy-to-read, color-coded, liquid-filled readout dial and durable molded housing with rubber grip handles. This soil compaction meter also features a stainless-steel rod with depth marks of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 inches.

Note: Model 6120 includes soil probe tips for both fine and course soil types
