    Back Flushing Strainer, 6" x 37", Schedule 40

    Used for "Dry Hydrants" and also for pumping water from lakes, ponds or rivers. Keeps debris from entering suction pipe & pumps. Sch. 40 PVC with 1.840 3/8" diameter circular perforations across bottom. Hinged disc allows for backflow of entire suction pipe when pumping is completed to minimize chances of freezing & cracking suction piping.
