Flotronic® Barrel Unloading Systems are used primarily in the food industry when dealing with rather viscous media. Common applications include transfer of tomato paste, creams, peanut butters, oils, and thick syrups. If an AODD cannot pump the media, that’s when we look at a drum unloader.

The basic premise combines the One-Nut™ Flotronic® AODD pump with an inflatable seal and control panel. Gravity, paired with the pump’s suction ability, helps to force the follower plate down the drum, thus evacuating it. The system can be cleaned in place using the pump itself or external CIP equipment. Due to the One-Nut™ pump design, it can be stripped down and reassembled in roughly 15 minutes.
