ProScan® 2 Series Radar Level Transmitters, from Icon Process Controls, measure the liquid level inside a tank, vessel, or sump by using a PTFE/Teflon® (316SS Available) antenna. The antenna emits a low energy radar pulse. The pulses are laser focused with a small-diameter, concentrated beam which offers more reliable accuracy in conditions that involve vapor and/or out-gassing, or low-reflective media. The pulses reflect off the liquid surface and are read back by the antenna. The ProScan® 2 Series uses microprocessor technology coupled with mapping software that allows these tank level monitors to be used where other non-contact level sensing devices are unreliable.
