    Square foot coverage varies because of difference in the solids content of each product required to obtain necessary dry film thickness.

    Surface protection is directly related to care in preparation before painting and the dry film thickness of coatings.

    A minimum of 4.5 mils (on smooth steel) on exterior of tanks is required.

    Excessive "sweating" of tanks and unusual damp environment requires greater film thickness to retard water and oxygen in the form of vapor from reaching the metal surface beneath.
