Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps

Self-priming Centrifugal Pumps are unique because they can "lift" liquids as high as 15', 20' or even 25' from ponds, underground tanks, pits, rivers, etc. They can also be used in the same applications as Straight Centrifugal Pumps ("flooded suction" applications such as pulling from above-ground storage tanks). Self-Priming Pumps can lift because they include a special "fattened belly" type of volute (casing) that holds a small amount of liquid in it, even when the suction pipe is evacuated. They also include a flapper style check valve built into the pump suction port. The user simply needs to "prime" the Self-priming Centrifugal Pump one time by pouring some liquid into a "priming tee" located directly atop the pump's discharge. We offer both Long-Coupled Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps and Close-Coupled Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps. These Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps are offered in Cast Iron or Stainless Steel.
