Breakaway Coupling / Safety Coupler for Anhydrous Ammonia/NH3, 1", with 1" FPT Male Tip & Clamp Assembly

Pioneer breakaway couplings for anhydrous ammonia are specifically designed for safety when dealing with anhydrous application. The Pioneer 4500 series coupler creates a safe, secure anhydrous ammonia connection between the nurse tank and application equipment. The double-acting sleeve with simple push-pull connect operation allows this breakaway anhydrous ammonia coupler to be quickly connected and disconnected with minimal effort. Additionally, when the female coupler bodies are properly installed in the breakaway clamps, these NH3 breakaway couplings allow the coupler bodies and male tips to disconnect in a breakaway situation. This helps avoid costly repairs and serious safety risks associated with anhydrous ammonia operations such as broken hoses and anhydrous spillage.

These NH3 coupler assemblies are sold only as a complete unit and include swivel clamp, nurse tank decal, and operating instructions. Coupler assemblies also include anhydrous tips as noted.

Note: Existing old-style 4500-6 couplers (pre-1984) cannot be used with the new 4503-7 breakaway clamp.
